Auctionimage border 2px soild #ffffff. Rare! World war 2 vintage west german anti aircraft binoculars in rare dark olive green military paint with dkl code signaling it was made by world famous! Schnieder bad kreuznach factory in germany during the 1940s with awesome! World class optics! oT die for! The version of this quality binocular made by this legendary! Optics maker is the most sought after of from all other versions and much better built then others. Here is what you will get with the outfit which cnotain many original accessories that you probably! Will never! Find at one tmie including the original display/storage wood box which alone weighs a ton! And of very high quality, obviously htis equipment was made with lot pride and to a quality and precision that is sadly! Missnig today! This was pruchased at a local estate sale1.
One d. F. 10x80 schneider kreuznach binoculars with o dkl x and a serial number 18931 written no it. This binoculars appears to have not been used that much compared to others i have seen in other listing. It has been painstakingly!
Cleaned from inside leaving notihng to chance! The quality optics does not have single scratch although one of the prism is chipped but it has no bearing on the image quality when viewing throught the binoculars, which is simply awesome! As edscribed below. There is no dirt inside, even the filter mechanism works like new and in perfect sync with each other, and the four filters too have been cleaned from both front and rear and the filter mechanism lubricated which is no easy task!
As anyone familiar with this binoculars will tell you. The mechanism which move the the movable part of the binocular for the stationary part works like new and too!
Has been lubricated. The adjustable mechansim on both eey pieces work great. 2. Original cradle or bracket for holding the binoculars, this bracket moves the the binoculars up or down to the desired postion, it works great and moves freely it might need to be tighten up a litlte in my opinon but i am not an expert in this field.
Serial nr bva 1027.3. Battery holder with markings clm and eagle with open winsg symbol and a f written on the lid and words htu written in black plastic in the bottom of the holder. This battery holder appears to have never if ever! Used and it supply power for the tiny bulb which mounts underneath one of the eye piece for viewing in dark. The bulb holder has the word clm written on it the movable mechanism that open and shut the light bulb compartment in th bulb holder works like new and has been lubricated.
The battery cable from the bulb to the battery compartment and plug is also in great shape! 4. Rare!
Mounting tripod with twin turrets one which has the red handle is for slow precise moving of the tripod mount which should move the binocular mounted in the cradle very slowly to desired position. The fast rotating turret is not moving due to many years of lying idle and will need to be looked at. The serial number written on the tripod mount is bva 1012.5. Removable line of sight which mount on the top of the binoculars.
6. Spare light bulbs for the nightime viewer adapter. 7.
Black rubberized removable headrest. 8. Original and rare!
Beautifully contructued real wood box which has high quality lifting handle on each side, hingeg back and high quality locking latches in the front, this box even empty is very heavy! Reflecting the build qualiyt with carefully constructed compartment for every single item in the outfit. One look through view finder of thsi rare quality binoculars and you wont beleive your eyes! To the quality of the inrcredible image ni front of you!
This view is incredibel bright! It si razor sharp! And 3 dimensional! The like of which you may have never seen from any binoculras before regardless of price, in my opinon. fI you are a fan of top quality vintage binoculars, then you owe it to yourself!
To own one! Of these.
This probably the last! Bincoulars you will ever want to own! Due to its very dark rare olive green paint which is orginal my guess is that it imght well have been made for the german air force.
You will need a very sturdy tripod which will be able to withstand the combined weight of the binoculars, cradle and the tripdo adapter with twin turrets. The pics you see here of the actual outfit and probably one of teh best preserved outfit you will ever find! Given the age being more than 60 years old! In short!
This quality binoculars is joy! To use!
And will give you countless hours of viewing pleasure all the hard of getting the optics clenaed and moving points lubricated has already been done for you! All you would be doing is mounting the binouclars on very sturdy professional tripod with a strong metal rod on its top the diameter of which should be such as to slide inside the hole in the tripod adapter. Some the lukcy owners even use this binoculars as a telescope to watch stars and milky way in the sky at night, the optics are that good! .
